JOB SUMMARY The Vice President, Controller has overall responsibility for the leadership and management of the corporate accounting functions of Company, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, treasury, general ledger and annual audit.
This position will direct the establishment of the company's accounting policies and procedures, oversee the monthly financial reporting cycle, manage the annual financial audit and treasury, payroll and accounts payable functions.
The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive knowledge of US GAAP and be responsible for determining the appropriate accounting treatment for complex transactions impacting the company and the adoption of new accounting pronouncements.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND REQUIREMENTSProvide leadership and direction for the corporate accounting functions in accordance with the overall strategic direction of the companyOversee accounting functions to include accurate and timely reporting of the company's financial statements to facilitate management decision-makingManage the accumulation and consolidation of all financial data necessary for an accurate accounting of consolidated business resultsEnsure integrity of financial transactions and financial reportingManage and serve as a key contributor to the annual financial audit, including drafting financial statements and disclosuresResponsible for the accounting documentation and analysis of all material transactions, including acquisitions and dispositions, minority interests, impairments, and debt refinancingOversee and provide guidance on new accounting pronouncements to determine impact to the company and oversee implementation as neededResponsible for developing and overseeing Executive Finance department budgetDevelop, manage and improve internal controls, fraud detection and prevention, accounting policies, and chart of accountsAssist in the adoption of ASC 842Work collaboratively with FP and A team to provide financial statements and management reports for analysisIdentify and champion process improvement opportunitiesReview FX exposure and implement strategies to reduce volatility as neededResponsible for derivative accounting including interest rate swap hedge accounting treatmentReview investment portfolio and seek and recommend opportunities in line with investment policyWork closely with outside lenders and complete and submit any required compliance documentationDevelop cash forecasting modelQUALIFICATIONSBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or BusinessActive CPA is requiredMinimum of ten years of experience in private accounting and at least three years of management experience in financial accounting or equivalent4
years of experience from a Big 4 public accounting firm desired but not requiredExperience with enterprise accounting systems specifically JD Edwards desired but not required.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
