Job Description: Data Specialist
Department: Data Integrity Reports to: Principal, Network Development
Purpose: Supports the integrity of the company's provider network by promptly adding approved network providers to the network data base and updating provider changes obtained through provider and client notifications, company research, etc.
Data Specialist Job Duties:
Enters approved new provider data into the NBD network data base with identified effective date in compliance with company policies and procedures.
Enters network provider updates and changes to the NBD network data base upon notification from contracting providers and provider groups.
Maintains Provider Update Spreadsheet to identify the timeliness of network's large provider groups' updates.
Follows up with provider groups to request monthly/quarterly updates if more than 3 months have passed since last update.
Creates monthly welcome letter/contract packets and oversees the assembly of the monthly product line mailings to new providers.
Keeps provider e-mail and fax listings current for provider communications when warranted.
Creates e-mail and fax blast communications to providers to include new payor announcements, updated payor information, etc. as warranted.
Creates custom provider directory spreadsheets for clients' MPN filings with the State of California.
Contributes to team effort by assisting with special projects or other duties as assigned and accomplishing acceptable results.
Skills/
Qualifications: IT background preffered, Professionalism, Strong Verbal and Written Communication Skills, Organization, Time Management, Managing Processes, Strong Computer and Excel Skills.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
