Plant Manager (IT/Electronic Resale)

Our client, a leader in the IT/Electronics renovation industry, is currently seeking a Plant Manager who will own, manage and grow the profitability (P&L) for the California operations facilities and create a lean operations model that can be exported to other expansion facilities. Relocation assistance is available for this position.
Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:
Own, manage and grow regional profitability
Champion acquisition of high yielding e-recycling materials streams through a small dedicated sales team
Drive yields through better sourcing of downstream commodity buyers and/or better pricing
Constantly reduce overhead, direct costs and waste, improving destruction productivity to ensure we have the lowest processing costs in the industry
Create a lean operations model
Build processes, metrics, and a culture that strives for continuous improvement
Create lean work centers using Toyota Lean principles and champion regular Kaizen events
Create playbooks of work process best practices that can be exported to other facilities
Build an industry leading, passionate and results driven team
Hire, develop and retain a team that is motivated, passionate about recycling and fanatical about results
Work closely with Managers and Human Resources to ensure people management best practices are in place
Achieve an best places to work both regionally and within industry
Export talent to other locations to promote company culture and values
Other
Contribute to the corporate strategy development
Ensure employee safety and health and compliance with Environmental Stewardship standards
Ensure facility uptime thru effective oversight of maintenance programs and equipment
Qualifications (required):
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Technology or Business preferred.
Five to ten years of General Manager P&L responsibility - a track record of continuous profit growth
Passionate about Lean and continuous improvement and recycling
Experience across multiple operations functions (manufacturing, Purchasing, Facilities, etc)
Familiarity with IT/electronics products, components and technology
Experience building/restructuring one or more operations
