Job Summary We are seeking a full-time In-House Commercial General Contractor to assist in the greater Northern California region, with occasional travel to the East Coast and the Portland area.
This position will be Monday through Friday with the autonomy to see projects from start to finish.
JOB DESCRIPTION Manage major projects including new construction Review plans for accuracy Gather and right size multiple bids Establish the proper scope of the project Schedule work through contractors and subcontractors Track all project costs Establish project timelines and ensure adherence Gather all required permits Review invoices and request payments Conduct regular job site coordination meetings Establish relationships and establish a list of preferred vendors Liaise between the Director, Regional Manager, and the contractors EXPERIENCE Minimum 5 years in commercial construction Managing sub-contractors Managing construction projects as the builders' PM (missing apostrophe) Performing overall management of all aspects of construction projects EDUCATION & SKILLS Professional degree in construction management, architecture, construction technology or a related field (mechanical or civil engineering) preferred.
